Consultancy Centre

SJCE has undertaken several consultancy projects for Industries and Government departments in several areas. Some of these are:

1. Rural support system for Zilla Parishad Mysore for their Project -  “Operation Black board" - designing low cost classrooms - Training in maintenance and repair of hand pumps
   
   
2. Decision support system and Management Information System
• Creating a complete Student Information Bank in the Computer Centre of the College, which manages the attendance and progress, internal assessment, conduct of examinations, etc. For effective management, the information entry is done through LAN terminals at various departments, and the consolidation is automatically effected at the central computer facility
  
• Computerization of the Common Entrance Test for the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. A total DBMS has been developed for allotment of seats to Engineering and Medical colleges in the state, which fall under the Government Quota
  
• Decision support system for the complete Engineering Design, Drafting, costing and scheduling for the World Bank project on the supply of Drinking Water for 1000 villages in 10 districts of Karnataka
  
• Decision support system for the World Bank assisted upper Krishna Irrigation Project, for the Government of Karnataka
  
• Decision support system for the Water Quality Surveillance for the UNICEF project implemented in Bangladesh


3. Testing Services

Services are being rendered regularly to several agencies in the field of testing and certification

. To cite a few –

• Soil testing for PWD, and other agencies
• Polymer characterization for Model Rubber Industries and others
• Testing and rating of electric machinery for industries
