Computer Centre:
The Department has a computer centre equipped with Pentium based computers connected to the campus-wide network and also to the internet. Staff and students have easy access to the internet. The computers can run on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems. Some of the important Softwares related to Electrical and Electronic engineering are also available. Since the computer center has easy access to the internet any new/updated GPL software can be easily downloaded and installed.

• High Voltage Engineering
Consultancy:
The following are some of the important consultancy works conducted by the Department:
• Testing of motors
• Testing of insulators
• Calibration and certification of energy meters, and trivector meters
• Electrical installation design, estimation, execution and maintenance
Electrical Engineering Association:
The Department has Electrical Engineering Association. All students of the Department are members of this association. Through this, the students and staff arrange special lectures, technical quizzes , technical paper contests, and extra courses on subjects not covered by the syllabus.
