The Department has also taken up joint research and development activities in association with Physical Technical Institute, Tashkent and ICAD Moscow, under the International long-term programme sponsored by DST, New Delhi.
The Department has been conducting several continuing education programmes in CAD/ CAM, Non-Conventional energy systems, vibration analysis and maintenance Engineering, for working professionals from
industries and teachers from Engineering colleges.
The Department conducts summer schools for teachers of various
Engineering colleges and over 30 training programme for working professionals.
The Department undertakes consultancy work in the areas of Vibration and Sound Analysis, Lubricant Analysis and Non-Conventional energy based systems.
The faculty members of the department have published over 200 research papers in journals and conference / seminar proceedings at the national and international level.
Awards:
• Six students of M.Tech. (Maintenance Engineering) have received best
M.Tech. Thesis award Instituted by GSFC - ISTE, New Delhi.
• Two students and two staff members have received Sir
C.V. Raman National Awards from Acoustic Society of India, New Delhi, during 2001.
• One staff member has received Silver Jubilee National award from Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehra Dun during 1985.
• Six staff members have received awards from GSFC - ISTE, New Delhi for guiding best M.Tech Thesis at the National Level.
